Daily Grind - 10-25-2010:
So. Yeah. What's up there world. It's been a while. You may ask, what the f**k man? Where the hell have you been? I will tell you, it's been the year from hell. It's primarily been work, but in the last week alone, I've been dealing with another episode of decadron withdrawl (I need to go see an private endocrinologist now), shingles (Aoife), viral meningitis (me), a cat with a very bloody nose, car problems, and a root canal. All of this took place over the last seven days. I was just about ready to off myself. If it weren't for the fact that the Giant's got into the world series, I'd say this has been one of the worst weeks of my life, not that I care that much about baseball, but it's due time SF won a series.
Anyways, I've been either sick as a dog, working my ass off, or recovering from one of the two. I also recently finished my second screenplay, so the need to write has been mild lately. Most of the time, after finishing a large writing project, there is a period of introspection that follows which involves me avoiding writing like the plague, but I'll get back to it. As soon as I get the latest iteration of the screenplay copyrighted, I'll post it here so anyone can take a look at it if they want. So that being said, I'll post a few goodies here today, but I'll try to get back to writing more here, since I now have a stable, virtual server that RAWKS! That being said, I also plan to start putting together a VLOG. I want to try my hand at editing and all that crap to see exactly what timeline I can expect between videos, but I'll keep you posted.
Anyhow, let's get to what's ATN:
MuQuick - A music search engine : you put in a name, and if finds and downloads the song. Simple and easy. Like your mom.
Really Bad Storm - Weatherman has a questionable storm on the horizon : How does shit like this get past the QA people? Do weather patterns have QA? Well they probably do NOW!
The Phil DeFranco show - A YouTube blog I watch : Phil is pretty good about getting a video out every day. I can't imagine how much work that is, but it;s quite entertaining. Let's see if I can give him a run for his money :P
Andro Pan - An android app that helps you put panoramic pics together : It automatically finds the edges and stitches them together taking much of the tedious work out of it. You now have no excuse!
How to use Google Search more effectively - God knows I could use this tutorial : Which is primarily why I put it on here. A good guide is always handy when you just can't seem to find that article you read last year, that you can't remember what it was about, but has that one line of code in it that is irriplacible and has saved your job a dozen times.
